For ten years we kept software stable in production. Since 2025 we build it as well.

You talk to the people who write the code. No sales layer, no junior team the work gets handed to.

Where we come from

Kornmüller Consulting has been around since 2018. The firm started with what it was best at: making sure other people’s software survives the trip into production — test automation, test management, approval processes and a lot of agile testing right inside Scrum teams, mostly in places where a defect gets expensive fast. The first client arrived in 2018 and came back twice.

Since 2025 we build it ourselves, with agents, in client projects rather than in demos. The first draft is there within hours. What costs time is the last ten per cent and the question of whether the whole thing stays stable in production — and that is where our ten years sit. Which is why we don’t just build agentically; we get the result released.

Patrick Kornmüller

Patrick Kornmüller

Managing Director · AI & Automation Engineer · Test Manager

Started as a software developer with technical project lead: a digital personnel file, data modelling, and before that an Android app against an existing Java backend. Then five years as quality manager at a software vendor with eighty staff — Azure Functions, desktop and web as one system — then Head of QA at a SaaS provider, and most recently two years of test management inside a federal development bank under BAIT, MaRisk and DORA.

ISTQB Certified Tester Advanced Level, Test Manager. Speaker at Agile Testing Days in Potsdam and at the Ministry of Testing in Munich. BSc in Business Informatics.

Justin Görmez

Justin Görmez

Partner · AI & Automation Engineer

Test automation in ERP rollouts, on connected hardware, in mobile and security-critical web applications. Builds the agentic QA pipeline at CLARIUS.LEGAL — Playwright, TypeScript, GitLab CI. Plus experience across industry, banking and defence, each under its own testing and approval requirements.

A career changer — previously a process mechanic in injection moulding, three years of training and two years on the production floor. Tolerances in injection moulding are measured, not estimated; the habit transferred directly. Alongside that, three years of self-taught computer science. Then Kornmüller Consulting.

ISTQB Certified Tester, Foundation Level.

How we work

“Done” is not a judgement call here, it is a run: the same build, through the same pipeline it ships to production through. If it comes through green, it is done. And if something fails, we see it first — not your customers.

Where the work happens depends on the job. Usually inside the client’s repository, with their tools and inside their approval process; sometimes we finish at our end and hand it over. What we leave behind has to be maintainable without us: no licence you need afterwards, and nothing only we can operate.

By now, agents write a large part of the code. That is not a statement of belief, it is the reason one or two of us can take on work that would otherwise need a mid-sized team. What counts as correct is our call — and we stand behind it with our name, line by line, whoever typed it.

Also involved

When a project outgrows two people, we bring in freelancers we have worked with for years — names we know, not rows from a database. The same acceptance criteria and the same confidentiality apply to them, and your point of contact stays the same. We are the ones on the hook for the result.

Reinforcement — or someone to take the whole thing?

One of us inside your team — or the two of us as a unit that takes a project from build to sign-off.
